Anthropic's revised pricing strategy is set to significantly increase the cost of operating OpenClaw with Claude AI. A Friday evening notification informed customers that starting April 4th at 3PM Eastern Time, "third-party platforms such as OpenClaw will become ineligible for Claude subscription allowances." The new arrangement requires customers to adopt an independent "usage-based billing system" for OpenClaw integration, separate from their standard Claude membership fees.
